Pan-Ukrainian Association of Young Folk Researchers

Pan-Ukrainian Association of the young researchers of the folklore was created on May 18 2001. It was registered as youth public organization on December 14 2001. Nowadays it has16 regional branches (Khmelinickiy, Kharkiv, Volyn’, Dnipropetrovsk, CHerkassy, Kirovograd, Donetsk, Sumy, Lviv, Lugansk, Ternopil, Poltava, Ivano-Frankivsk, Crimean republican branch , Kiev City and Kiev oblast branches. They join more than 200 folklorists and amateurs of the folklore.
The majority of regional branches are founded on the base of folk ensembles: Bozhychi, Volodar, Buttya, Kralitsa (the Kiev-Kiev obl.), Vertep (Ternopil), Divina (Donetsk), Venochek, Perevslo (Kocherezhki Village of Dnipropetrovsk oblast), Merezhka (Kharkiv), Rodyna (Lutsk), Serpanok (Sumy), Ladovicy (Khmelinickiy), Dyke Pole, Guliaygorod (Kirovograd).
Except ordinary folk gathering and ensemble work, PUAYFR organizes such Pan-Ukrainian actions:
- canoe folk expeditions;
- a historian-ethnographic program “School of traditional crafts named by V. Mogur” in Kosmach Village, Kosiv region of Ivano-Frankivsk oblast (since 2003 – with support of the State committee (the Ministry) of the Ukraine of Sport, Family and Youth);
- with leader rock band "V.V." Oleg Skrypka, Kiev centre of creative activity, Ivan Honchar Museum and Creative agency "Art Veles" on July 2004 organized festival "Kraina Mriy"
- Crimean Tatar School of Traditional Arts;
Program “Ukrainian Folk Performed by Youth”
